Come one, Come All to Snydersville Raceway for the 8th annual Art Cronce Sr. Memorial for the Animal Champs. On Friday, July 27 the Animal Champs will be duking it out in Memory of Art Cronce Sr in a 30-Lap stint around the bullring. The winner of the race get a $500 Guaranteed payday and a BIG CHECK. The class entry fee for the memorial will be $40. Last year, 16 champs duked it out and saw Casey Steinhoff repeat his win from 2016. Also on the cards for Friday we have the Microstock Racing League where Tom Ervin looks to strike another win again this year at the 1/8 mile bullring, plus we have a complete Regular Show of All Classes of Karts, Champs, Microstocks, Slingshots, and Quarter Midgets. Come on out to Snydersville and join us for some Exciting Family Fun Racing in the Pocono’s! Don’t forget to bring the family with to check out the racing action!!! This Friday, July 20, the highly competitive Sr. Flathead Champs will be going wheel to wheel in a fun 25-Lap Cone Race with the winner getting a $200 payday. The race will qualify for the 25-lap race. On top of that we have a $150 to win 20-lap Jr. Restricted Money Race with a complete Regular Show of Flatheads, Clones, Animals, Champs, Microstocks, Slingshots and Quarter Midgets to highlight the evening of racing. Bring those race cars out Friday and don’t miss the Family Fun, The Racing Action, and Great Food at Snydersville Raceway! Don’t forget to bring the family where its only $6 for Adults to get in the Grandstands, $3 for Seniors/Military/Kids (5-12), and FREE for Kids (Under 4). The racing was nothing short of exciting Friday as fifty cars duked it out for the win in the highly competitive classes. The night was filled with specialties as the Famed Checkered Flag Fan Club stopped in to give the feature winning CFFC members an embroidered jacket, plus 2 specialty races added to the cards. One of the specialty divisions on the evening, The Microstock Racing League, saw the 1994 and 2002 Snydersville Microstock champion Tom Ervin park it in victory lane at his old stomping grounds. Ervin led every lap of the feature and was fastest overall in the division. Jim Counterman finished runner up behind Ervin, and the Hard Charging Tyler Wagner rallied his way up to a third place finish. James Counterman Jr. put on a good run early but lost the third place spot on the last restart to finish in fourth, and Jeff Weinacker rounded out the top five in the MRL Tour. 6th- Noel Scheffen, 7th- Larry Ealey, 8th- Richard Ptaszynski, 9th- Keith Mellars, 10th- Bob Wagner.
Brandon Walsh ran a flawless race in the Jr. Sportsman Champ Money Race holding off many the hard charging Jr. drivers to take home the $150 win. Defending Point Champion Cadence Freeman came up short at the finish line to get second. Tre Mammana showed a great deal of speed to take home a top three finish. After missing a few weeks, Ian McGuire drove his way to a solid fourth place finish and Griffin Hendershot struggled from front end damage to bring a top five finish.
