Glenn Borger, the creator of Borgers Speedway, gave the start to many racing careers and classes in the ~15 years of operation. When the speedway closed for good, we not only lost the race track, we lost a great man with it. This Friday, August 23, we will remember the Late and Great Glenn Borger and Borgers Speedway with the 2nd Annual Borgers Speedway Reunion Night presented by Low Down Entertainment! We will celebrate the legacy of Borgers Speedway and Glenn with a Double Header of racing at Snydersville featuring the Stage 1 Modifieds in a $ 500 to win 30-Lap Glenn Borger Memorial, and the AllStar Slingshots will be competing in a $350 to win 25-Lap Event. In addition, we have a complete Regular Show of All Classes of JuiceBox’s, Karts, Champs, Microstocks, Mini Mods, and Slingshots to make for an Exciting Night of Dirt Track Racing! Stroudsburg, PA – Due to the threat of heavy rain and severe weather set to hit the track this evening, management has decided to cancel racing for Friday, August 2. Both big races will be rescheduled to later dates which are to be determined. Have a great weekend, and we will see you next Friday!
Stroudsburg, PA- Friday Night will be a busy night of racing with the Inaugural Buddy Lord Triple 19s Memorial for Sr. Animal Champ, where each feature will pay $150 to win and pay the top 50% of the field. On top of that, we have the Jr. Slingshots going for $500 to win in a 25-Lap Dash courtesy of Bob Emmons and Ryan McNichol. The Jr. Slingshots will get $40 to take the green and have 2 contingency awards, a $25 Hard Charger, and a $25 quick time qualifier. Finally, we have a complete Regular Show of JuiceBox’s, Karts, Champs, Microstocks, Slingshots, and Mini Mods! - Race Format: GWC Qualifying and Feature 1 will run before intermission, while Features 2 and 3 will run after intermission. Qualifying sets the lineup of Feature 1. The winner of Feature 1 will pick an invert pill from 4 to 8 or 10 (depending on the kart count) to set the Feature 2 lineup. The winner of Feature 2 will pick an invert pill from 4 to 8 or 10 (depending on the kart count) to set the Feature 3 lineup.
