Glenn Borger, the creator of Borgers Speedway, gave the start to many racing careers and classes in the ~15 years of operation. When the speedway closed for good, we not only lost the race track, we lost a great man with it, and for many years he hasn’t been recognized or remembered properly. This Friday, August 18, we will remember the Late and Great Glenn Borger and Borgers Speedway with the 1st Ever Reunion Night presented by Low Down Entertainment! We will celebrate the legacy of Borgers Speedway and Glenn with a Triple Header of racing at Snydersville featuring the Stage 1 Modifieds in a $500-to-win 30-Lap Glenn Borger Memorial part of the King of the Road Tour. Plus, the AllStar Slingshots will be competing in a $300 to win, 25-Lap Event, and the Famous Pork Chop Division will be revived under the Briggs Super Heavy Class, where the drivers will compete in a $250 to win 20-Lap Dash! In addition, we have a complete Regular Show of All Classes of Karts, Champs, Microstocks, Mini Mods, and Slingshots to make for an Exciting Night of Dirt Track Racing! Lastly, we want to have a Driver/Staff Panel at Intermission where we will reminisce on the Glenn and his field of dreams. Snydersville Raceway will be hot with action Friday, August 11, as it is Checkered Flag Fan Club Night! CFFC will be on hand to sign up for the Injured Members Fund, plus Members who win the Feature will GET AN EMBROIDERED JACKET! On top of that, we have two classes of Young Guns, with the Jr. Restricted Champ and Jr. Sportsman divisions going for $150 to win in a 20-lap Feature Event. On top of that, we have a $100 to win Animal Extra Heavy (410 LBS minimum w/ No Driver Minimum, Burris 33s Only) with a Complete Regular Show of Karts, Champs, Microstocks, Slingshots, Mini Mods, and the JuiceBox Division. Lastly, we have the ladies’ Powder Puff races on the docket. Must have no racing experience in the particular car, wristband, and the proper safety equipment. The best 16 Stage 1 Modifieds will race for $500 to win in a 25-Lap Special, with the field being set by Group Qualifying, 10 Lap Heats, and B-Mains (if needed).
