2024 Rule Updates

2024 Rules are Posted. Go to https://snydersvilleraceway.com/rules-forms/ to view all of our updated rules. The 2024 Minors Release is not ready and will be posted as soon as possible. Here are the main changes for 2024:

  • The weekly race program will feature JuiceBox’s, Karts, Champs, Microstocks, Slingshots, and Mini Mods.
  • Jr. Sportsman: Flathead- No Change, Animal- No Change, Clone- Engine Spec Change: 2024 AKRA Box Stock Clone with Purple .500 Restrictor, Weenie Pipe Only, Open Clutch @ 285 LBS
  • Jr. Sportsman Champ: Flathead- No Change, Animal- No Change, Clone Engine Spec Change: 2024 AKRA Box Stock Clone with Purple .500 Restrictor, Weenie Pipe Only, Open Clutch @ 320 LBS
  • Briggs Stock Light- Renamed to Flathead 350. Weight increased from 340 LBS to 350 LBS
  • Briggs Stock Heavy- Renamed to Flathead 375. Weight increased from 370 LBS to 375 LBS
  • Briggs Super Heavy- Renamed to Flathead 400. Driver Minimum weight removed for 2024
  • Clone Heavy- Rename to Clone 375. Weight increased from 370 LBS to 375 LBS
  • Sr. 206 Champ- Weight increased from 410 LBS to 425 LBS
  • Jr. Slingshots- Weight increased from 695 LBS to 710 LBS. See 2024 Tobias Rules for Changes
  • AllStar Slingshots- See 2024 Tobias Rules for Changes
  • Mini Mods- Weight increased from 550 LBS to 575 LBS.
  • NEW CLASS: Box Stock Flat Kart Class will feature the DynoCams Ducar 212cc Engine or the Predator 212cc engine at 390 LBS. Age 15+. See the rule book and supplemental rules for engine specifications.
  • Briggs 206 Spark Plug Gap Check and Intake Cam Lobe Centerline rule added. Champ Karts can now utilize the RLV EXF5700 Header if unable to make clearance with the roll cage.
  • Start Rule Clarification: There is no passing (inside or outside) or lane changes until you’ve exited the start zone (passed the 2nd start cone)
  • No Transponder for qualifying: If you come out without a Transponder on the car, you will be given another transponder to retime and lose your best lap.
  • Missed qualifying slot: If you miss your time to go out, you will lose your best lap.
  • Combining Classes- The Faster Class will start ahead of the slower class for the heat starts. Restarts and feature starting spots will go in the current overall position on the track. Both classes will be scored separately.
  • Cars towed off or damaged beyond repair that cannot scale will receive last-place points.
  • Money Races exceed $500 to win will have a complete tear down for the Top 3
  • All Lead Weights and Ballast must be painted White and bolted to the car with a minimum 5/16″ bolt and fender washers for weights 7 LBS or less. Weights exceeding 7 LBS need to use 3/8″ bolt or two 5/16″ bolts. Weights must be double-nutted, or single-nutted with lock nut and have a clip through the bolt. Car numbers written on the weight are recommended.

The 2024 Snydersville Raceway Rules Meeting is set for Sunday, February 11 at 1:00 pm where we will go over the rules for the 2024 racing season and have pit spot renewals and new requests taken in person. The meeting will be held at the Kunkletown Volunteer Fire Company at 597 Kunkletown Rd., Kunkletown, PA 18058. Doors will open at 12:45 pm and the meeting will start at 1 pm. EVERYONE IS WELCOME TO JOIN AS WE WILL DISCUSS ALL DIVISIONS AND RULE CHANGES FOR THE SEASON! If you can’t make the meeting, please email any questions or suggestions to info@snydersvilleraceway.com. 2024 Snydersville Schedule Released! New and familiar events will compose the 27-event schedule.

The 2024 Snydersville Raceway Schedule is officially released, and this season packs 27 events consisting of a practice day, 25-point paying events with new and familiar events, and Thunder at The Ville on Saturday, October 5. The JuiceBox division, All Jr. & Sr. Flat Karts, All Jr. & Sr. Champs, Jr. & Sr. Microstocks, Mini Mods, and Jr. & Sr. Slingshots will be on the weekly docket for 2024. Snydersville will also see the Stage 1 Modifieds return for 7 races in 2024, but that could increase depending on the division’s interest in a more regular schedule. Additionally, some special races that are not on the schedule that Snydersville staff is working on could be added. Let’s take a brief look at the 2024 season schedule and what it has in store:

The rules meeting will be announced later this week as we work to coordinate our busy schedules. After that, we clean up the track on Saturday, March 23, and open our doors for Practice on Saturday, March 30. Opening Night will be set for Friday, April 5, kicking off the 2024 Championship Points. Numerous money and memorial races are spread throughout the year, and this season, we will see some new events commemorating our fallen racers. The first new race is the Buddy Lord Memorial Triple 19s. $150 to win each feature with a $50 bonus for a clean sweep for the Sr. Animal Champ on July 26. The second new memorial is the Trent Brewbaker Memorial for the Sr. 206 Champ division. This race will pay $502 to win and will be held near Trent’s Birthday on October 18. Returning Memorial Races for 2024 will include:

  • $336 to win Walt Morrison Memorial – Sr. Microstocks – May 17
  • $500 to win Eddie Marzigliano Memorial – Flathead 350 – May 31
  • $500 to win Jim Bassett Memorial – AllStar Slingshots – July 5
  • $500 to win King of the Bullring – Walt Smith Memorial – Clone 375 – July 12
  • $636 to win Mike Kormann Memorial – Sr. Animal Champ – August 16
  • $500 to win Glen Borger Memorial – Stage 1 Modifieds presented by Low Down Entertainment – August 23
  • $522 to win Jim Ackerman Memorial – Sr. Microstocks – September 13
  • $1055 to win Zach Korch Memorial – Flathead 400 – September 20
  • $547 to win Dale Kuhne Memorial – Flathead 375 – September 20

In addition to the memorial races, our special events calendar is busy, boasting 7 events in 2024! The first is Open House Night, presented by Pocono Raceway, where it’s FREE General Admission for Friday, May 17. Pocono Raceway will join us with the Pocono Raceway Pacecar and Ticket/Goodie Giveaways. The next event is our King of The Bullring on Friday, July 12, and the winners of that night will be crowned King/Queen. Checkered Flag Fan Club Night will join us to sign up new members for the Injured Member Fund and give away jackets or medals to its CFFC Feature Winners on August 16. The Low Down Entertainment Borger’s Speedway Reunion Night is back on Friday, August 23, after a huge success and love for the event. First Responders / Military Appreciation (Current/Veteran) Night, presented by The Flag Store, is scheduled for Friday, September 12, where First Responders, Active Military, and Veterans will get FREE General Admission. Our big event of 2024 will be Thunder at The Ville, on Saturday, October 5, where all weekly classes will be on the docket for BIG WINNINGS! Our final special event is Fright Night at The Ville, on Friday, October 18, featuring a memorial race & money races, the spook racers and crew of Snydersville, Trick or Treating at Intermission, and the Famous Trailer Decorating Contest!

With only a few months away from kicking off the 2024 season, it will be a busy season for Snydersville, and we can’t wait to be back at the track slinging the dirt around.

Parking Spot Renewals: 2024 Spot Renewals will open for online payment on Sunday, January 21. Pit Spots will be $75.00 for the season. You will have until March 8, 2024, to renew your spot online, pay in cash/check at the Kart Shop, or coordinate your spot and payment with Alex via Facebook. On March 9, we will open any unreserved spots to new racers who submitted the new spot request form in full.

Fright Night at The Ville is going to cap off the 2023 season this Friday, October 20, with All Weekly Divisions of Karts, Champs, Microstocks, Mini Mods, and Slingshots battling for the 2023 Championships, plus there is a $250 to win Briggs Stock Heavy Pumpkin Run 2, a $200 to win Haunted Hustle 20 for the Briggs Super Heavy division, a $200 to win Jr. Sportsman Champ Money Race courtesy of Kyle Freeman, $250 to win Stage 1 Modifieds, and The JuiceBox division! On top of that, we will have Trick or Treating during Intermission and our Famous Truck/Trailer Decorating Contest!

TRUCK/TRAILER DECORATING CONTEST: Everyone in the Pits is encouraged to decorate their trailers or what they bring their karts in! The best appearing truck/trailer will receive a $50 Gift Card plus a Prize along with Prizes for 2nd & 3rd Best in the Contest!
