An action-filled night is in preparation for Friday, June 19, at Snydersville with the 3rd Annual Walt Morrison Memorial Race set for the Mighty Microstocks in remembrance of one of Snydersville’s longest supporters! For those that didn’t know Walt Morrison, he had racing in his blood from the day he was born to the last breath he took. Walt started racing in Street Stocks at Flemington Speedway and ran many years, and from there, he transitioned over to the Microstocks, racing at Snydersville Raceway for over a decade. Walt succeeded at Snydersville, winning many races and even notching a Track Championship under his belt. During that time, he would marry the love of his life, Teri Morrison, in the only wedding ever held at Snydersville Raceway. He continued to race up until mid-2016 and then fell ill, where he was diagnosed with cancer. Walt fought tooth and nail to get healthy and get back in the seat of his Microstock. Finally, on Saturday, October 7, 2017, with the help of Barry Reese, Walt got back behind the wheel, driving Barry’s Microstock during intermission for a couple of laps. However, this would be his last ride as in March of 2018; the whole racing family would be saddened by the passing of Walt.
In memory of Walt, the Microstock 206 division will be running a Memorial Race consisting of a 36-Lap Feature (36 was his original car number) with the starting field set by Green/White/Checkered Qualifying. The Winner of the Memorial Race will receive a trophy and a payday of $236. And there is an added twist as this Memorial Race will be Cone Race and have a Lucky Dog for the first car a lap or laps down.
Plus, the Engines will be roaring in the Sr. Animal Champs as the drivers will be going for a cool $150 to win in a 20-Lap Race! The drivers will qualify for the feature.
And to finally top the tank off for the evening, we have A FATHERS DAY MECHANICS RACE AND ALL WEEKLY CLASSES OF KARTS, CHAMPS, MICROSTOCKS, SLINGSHOTS & XCEL SPORTSMANS duking it out on the 1/8-mile bullring! Come on out to Snydersville and indulge in the exciting racing for the Bullring of the Poconos! Gates open at 4:30 pm, Drivers Meeting at 6 pm, Practice at 6:15 pm, Racing at 7 pm.

Stroudsburg, PA (6-10-2020)- One of the most anticipated races on the calendars of many drivers will have to wait till next year. The 2020 edition of the West End Fair Dirt-a-Rama will be cancelled due to the 2020 West End Fair cancelling its entire week of activities. Along with that cancellation, the 2020 Art Cronce Sr. Memorial Race will be cancelled as well on Friday, July 24 and all Amsoil Microstock Races cancelled til 2021.
However, with the cancellations, we have put together a Revised Schedule (which is still subject to change) which will see racing action at The Ville every weekend to the end of October. The $1000 to win John LaRue Memorial will now be held on the same night as the Art Cronce on July 24 along with the PA Wings joining us. The sponsor money that was set for West End will be pushed to Thunder at The Ville and it is expecting some large payouts on Saturday, October 3. The Doug Hoffman Memorial Race for the Microstocks is planned to be held on Friday, August 28. On Friday, July 3rd, which was scheduled to be off, will become a points race and we will be racing on Friday, August 21 at Snydersville! To view the revised schedule visit https://snydersvilleraceway.com/schedule/.
