Today we have the unfortunate announcement that the Outlaw Triple Crown Mower Race scheduled for Saturday, June 30 has been cancelled due to disagreements between the raceway and Series. However, we do want to thank them for considering us for their event. Therefore, the raceway has decided to cancel the Saturday, June 30 event in its entirety. We will still be racing on Friday, June 29 with a Regular Show plus a $150 to win Clone Light Money Race and possible reschedule of the Microstock cone race to this night.
Don’t forget we have plenty of exciting events coming up including a $150 to win Briggs Light Money Race this Friday, June 1. On Friday, June 8 we have The RG Hoffman Electrical SlingFest with a $500 to win AllStar Slingshot National Tour and $350 to win Jr. Slingshots Tour plus a Regular Show. The weekend of June 15 & 16 we will be having The Pocono Shootout Weekend, the raceways First Multi Day Show with a Slew of Money Classes set for Friday and Saturday (Details on Classes can be found below) and many outside series including the WCRS, The Empire UAS Karts, and the PA Wings joining us for the weekends racing festivities.

As we approach the dog days of summer, the racing action continues to ramp up each week at The Bullring of The Pocono’s. This week we have an Exciting Regular Show at Snydersville Raceway of Karts, Champs, Microstocks, Slingshots, and Quarter Midgets PLUS we have a $150 to win Briggs Stock Light Money Race to top of the bucket of racing fun! The money race will be $35 to enter and the drivers will qualify for the 20 Lap Feature. Come on out Racers and Race Fans (especially from Pocono Raceway) and enjoy the exciting short track racing action in the Pocono’s “Where It’s Dirt Racing at Its Best!” Gates open at 4pm, Practice at 6:15pm, Racing begins at 7pm.

Another action packed week of racing is set for Friday, May 25 as the one of the largest weekly divisions, The Sr. Flathead Champs, will be the division of choice for the 2018 Eddie Marzigliano Memorial Race. The Memorial Race will have a payday of a guaranteed $300 and trophy to the Winner of the Memorial. As well as a payout for the top half of the field (payout scale listed below). The memorial will consist of Green/White/Checkered Qualifying to set the field for the 25 Lap Feature with an anticipated field of 15+ champs. On top of the Memorial Race we have all of our weekly classes of Karts, Champs, Microstocks, Slingshots, and Quarter Midgets as the points battles continue for the 2018 Points Championships! This event is going to be a fun night you don’t want to miss out on so come on out this Friday and join in the Racing Fun under the Friday Night Lights in the Beautiful Pocono Mountains. An action filled night is in preparation for Friday, May 18 at Snydersville as Pocono Raceway will be joining us with The Famous Pocono Pace Car & Pocono Raceway Goodies. PLUS, THEY WILL BE GIVING AWAY FREE TICKETS TO EVERYONE FOR THE CAMPING WORLD TRUCK SERIES RACE AND HAVE A RAFFLE FOR MONSTER ENERGY NASCAR CUP SERIES TICKETS. There will also be a surprise visit from Pocono Raceway’s own Tricky The Fox!
On top of that the 1st Annual Walt Morrison Memorial Race is set for the Mighty Microstocks in remembrance of one of Snydersville’s longest supporters! For those that didn’t know Walt Morrison, he had racing in his blood from the day he was born to the last breath he took. Walt started racing in Street Stocks at Flemington Speedway and ran many years and from there he transitioned over to the Microstocks, racing at Snydersville Raceway for over a decade. Walt succeeded at Snydersville, winning many races and even notching a Track Championship under his belt. During that time, he would marry the love of his life, Teri Morrison, in the only wedding ever held at Snydersville Raceway. He continued to race up until mid-2016 and then fell ill where he was diagnosed with cancer. Walt fought tooth and nail to get healthy and get back in the seat of his Microstock. Finally, on Saturday, October 7, 2017, with the help of Barry Reese, Walt got back behind the wheel, driving Barry’s Microstock during intermission for a couple laps. However, this would be his last ride as in March of 2018, the whole racing family would be saddened by the passing of Walt.
In memory of Walt the Microstock 206 division will be running a Memorial Race on Friday, May 18 consisting of a 36-Lap Feature (36 was his original car number) with the starting field set by Green/White/Checkered Qualifying. The Winner of the Memorial Race will receive a trophy and a payday of $236. And there is an added twist as this Memorial Race will be Cone Race and have a Lucky Dog for the first car a lap or laps down.
To add to the night the winners of the Microstock 206, the Flathead Champ, and the Animal Champ classes will be GUARANTEED A-Main Starters at the Tricky Triangle Challenge on Friday, August 17 at Pocono Raceway for the $200 to win Microstock 206 & $400 to win Sr. Champ Classes.
And to top the tank off for the evening we have ALL WEEKLY CLASSES OF KARTS, CHAMPS, MICROSTOCKS, SLINGSHOTS & QUARTER MIDGETS duking it out on the 1/8-mile bullring!
